BOYD4UGHTER is an escape from ads, algorithms, and endless scrolling- a more productive and less doom-fueled way for me to engage with the internet and a social platform that can be as catered to ME as I want it to be! As a baby of the early 2000s, I've been longing for a way back to the wonder, whimsy, and excitement I used to feel booting up my family desktop to play flash games, mess around with word art, and fall down the rabbit holes of my interests.
I started BOYD4UGHTER as a place to post my poetry, but since then it has grown into something of a virtual commonplace book, where I can store the things I love, my hobbies, my art, and the things that make me happy. I love tacky, ugly HTML web design that brings me back to the 2000s and 2010s, so hopefully this website transports you back to your childhood and makes the internet feel cozy and personalized again. Many of these pages were built from templates or are being held together by the HTML equivalent of duct tape, dental floss, and prayers, but as I get better and better at this hobby I have big plans to make the pages more custom and complex.
